Can You Car Camp in Pinnacles National Park?

Pinnacles National Park is a fantastic outdoor destination for car camping. Located in Central California, Pinnacles offers stunning natural features, great activities and plenty of camping opportunities. There are four campgrounds located within the park and each one offers something different.

Campground 1: The East Pinnacles Campground is the most popular campground in the park and offers a wide range of amenities. This campground has more than 100 sites with RV hook-ups, as well as picnic tables and fire rings. Additionally, there are flush toilets and potable water that can be accessed from nearby spigots.

Campground 2: The West Pinnacles Campground is the smallest of the four campgrounds within the park, but it still offers plenty of amenities for those looking to car camp. This campground has flush toilets, potable water spigots, picnic tables and fire rings at each site. There are also RV hook-ups available for those who prefer to be closer to their vehicle while camping.

Campground 3: The Balconies Campground is located on the western side of the park and offers more primitive camping than its counterparts. This campground has no RV hook-ups or flush toilets, but it does have potable water spigots at each site as well as picnic tables and fire rings.

Campground 4: The Juniper Canyon Campground is located just outside of the park boundary and offers a more remote type of experience for those looking to get away from it all.
