Breckenridge is a popular ski resort town in Colorado, known for its excellent slopes and stunning scenery. But what many don’t know is that Breckenridge also offers fantastic mountain biking opportunities. The terrain surrounding the town is full of expert trails, beginner trails, and even some downhill tracks for those looking for a challenge.

The highest mountain bike trail in the area is the Boreas Pass Trail, which sits at an elevation of 11,500 feet. This trail is 14 miles long and has some incredible views of the Tenmile Range. It’s best suited for intermediate riders with some experience as there are plenty of technical sections along the way.

One of Breckenridge’s most popular trails is the Peaks Trail. This 17-mile loop takes riders through beautiful meadows and forests before reaching an incredible overlook at 12,000 feet. It can be done in one day but it’s best to break it up into two days so you can take your time exploring all that the trail has to offer.

For those looking for a more extreme experience, there are plenty of downhill tracks available as well. The most popular one is called The Zipper which features jumps, drops, berms and other obstacles that will test even experienced riders.
