How Do You Make a Barbie Camping Tent?

If you love camping, but don’t have the time to take your kids out in the wild, why not recreate the camping experience at home with a homemade Barbie camping tent? With some basic craft supplies, you can make a great little tent that your kids will love to play in!

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
The supplies you will need to make your Barbie camping tent include: thin cardboard (or poster board), scissors, glue, markers or crayons, and fabric. You can choose any fabric you like for the outside of the tent – this could be patterned or plain. If you don’t have any fabric lying around at home, you can buy cheap fabric from a hobby store.

Step 2: Cut The Cardboard Or Poster Board
Cut two rectangles from the thin cardboard or poster board. These rectangles should be about 10 inches long by 8 inches wide. These pieces of cardboard will form the walls of your Barbie camping tent.

Step 3: Glue The Fabric On
Spread glue on one side of each piece of cardboard and adhere the fabric to it. Make sure that there is excess fabric around all four sides so that it hangs over each edge by at least 1/2 inch.

Step 4: Create The Roof
Cut another piece of cardboard into a triangle shape.

This triangle should measure 10 inches on each side and 6 inches high in the middle. Glue this piece of cardboard onto one end of the rectangle to form a peaked roof.

Step 5: Put It All Together
Glue one wall to another so that they form an enclosed box shape – with one end open for a door. You may want to reinforce these corners with masking tape for extra stability.

Step 6: Add Finishing Touches
Add any final touches such as markers or crayons for decorating. You may also want to add ribbons or strings around the edges for extra detail.

Step 7: Enjoy!
Your Barbie camping tent is now ready to enjoy! Set up some chairs and a pretend campfire inside and let your children’s imaginations run wild!

Making a Barbie camping tent is an easy way to bring some outdoor fun indoors! With just some basic craft supplies and a bit of creativity, you can create an amazing play space for your kids in no time. Now go ahead and start making memories with your new homemade Barbie camping tent!
