Is Park City the Biggest Ski Resort?

Park City is one of the biggest and most popular ski resorts in the country. With over 7,000 acres of terrain, multiple ski resorts, and a variety of terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, Park City is undoubtedly one of the premier ski destinations in the United States. There are also plenty of lodging options within the resort itself, making it an ideal destination for families or groups looking to spend time on the slopes.

The resort itself is divided into three distinct areas: Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR), The Canyons Village at Park City, and Deer Valley Resort. Each area has its own unique feel, offering something different for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.

PCMR is great for beginners and intermediates alike, with wide groomed runs that are perfect for those just starting out. The Canyons Village at Park City offers a bit more challenge with steeps, moguls, bowls, and glades for those who want to take their skiing to the next level. Finally, Deer Valley Resort is perfect for advanced skiers looking to tackle some of the most challenging terrain in North America.

When it comes to amenities, Park City certainly doesn’t disappoint either. There are dozens of restaurants within walking distance from each area as well as plenty of shopping options throughout town. For those looking to make a weekend out of their trip, there’s also a wide variety of lodging options ranging from luxury hotels to affordable condos.

In terms of size alone, Park City certainly isn’t the biggest ski resort in North America; however it does have one major advantage over its competition: convenience. With direct flights into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) from most major cities in North America and Europe, getting to Park City couldn’t be easier. On top of that, once you’re here you won’t need a car – you can easily get around town via free public transportation or by taking advantage of local shuttle services.

Conclusion:

So while it’s not the biggest ski resort out there – Park City certainly offers something that many other resorts can’t: convenience coupled with an incredible variety terrain suitable for all levels. From luxury accommodations to plenty of dining options nearby – Park City continues to be one of the premier ski destinations in North America.
