What Is National Camp?

National Camp is a unique opportunity for young people to experience an active and exciting summer camp. The National Camp program is run by the National Council of Youth Organizations (NCYO) and provides a safe and fun environment for participants to learn about leadership, team building, and developing one’s own personal skills.

The camp is open to all youth aged 14-17 years. During the two-week program, participants will be challenged with engaging activities that are designed to help them discover their own strengths and weaknesses.

This includes team building activities such as hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, orienteering and more. Each activity is designed to bring out the best in each participant so they can reach their full potential.

Participants will also have access to workshops that focus on developing leadership skills, communication abilities and problem-solving skills. These sessions are led by experienced youth counselors who help create an environment of learning and growth for each participant.

In addition to the workshops, participants will also have the chance to explore the natural beauty of their region through field trips that are designed to teach them about local geography, wildlife and culture. These trips help foster a sense of connection between each participant and their environment while giving them an appreciation for the diverse world around them.

At the end of the two weeks, each participant will receive a certificate of completion that recognizes their participation in National Camp. This certificate can be used as proof of attendance when applying for college programs or other similar programs in the future.
