What Mountain Range Is Tamarack Resort On?

Tamarack Resort is a ski resort located in Idaho, located on the Payette Lake and close to Cascade Lake. The resort is set in a stunning mountain setting and offers some of the best skiing in the Pacific Northwest.

Tamarack Resort is situated on the western slopes of the beautiful Tamarack Mountain Range, which lies along the western edge of the Cascade Mountains.

The Tamarack Range runs for about 40 miles from north to south, and is part of the larger Cascade Mountain range. It is located in Valley County, Idaho, and covers an area of over one million acres.

The mountains are largely made up of volcanic rock that was created by ancient lava flows. This has produced a rugged landscape that provides some excellent skiing conditions.

The highest peak in the range is Mount Harrison at 8,735 feet above sea level. The range also boasts several other notable peaks such as Moon Mountain (8,245 feet), Big Creek Peak (8,119 feet), and Baldy Peak (7,621 feet). There are numerous other peaks throughout the range that are popular with skiers and snowboarders.

Tamarack Resort sits at an elevation of 6,200 feet above sea level and offers over 1,800 acres of skiable terrain. It has 54 trails for all levels from beginner to expert as well as four terrain parks for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. There are also seven lifts including two high speed quads taking visitors up to enjoy some breathtaking views.
