What Ski Resort Is the Olympics At?

The Olympic Games take place every four years and are the most prestigious sporting event in the world. Every two years, a different ski resort is chosen to host the Winter Olympics. The locations of the Winter Olympics have varied from Japan to Norway, and this year it’s taking place in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Pyeongchang is a small mountain town located in Gangwon province, South Korea. It’s situated east of Seoul and has been preparing for the 2018 Winter Olympics since 2011.

The town has gained new ski resorts, infrastructure and more to accommodate athletes during the Olympic Games. Alpensia Resort is one of the two venues of Pyeongchang that will host several events during the 2018 Winter Olympics including ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton.

Alpensia Resort features a total of six slopes ranging from beginner to expert levels. It also has a ski jump hill with two K-points (the point at which skiers land after taking off).

The resort also contains an indoor pool and a golf course with 18 holes. Visitors can also enjoy ice skating rinks, snow sledding hills and other winter activities at Alpensia Resort during their visit.

The second venue for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games is Jeongseon Alpine Centre. It’s located about 40 minutes away from Alpensia Resort and it will be hosting alpine skiing events such as downhill skiing, slalom skiing and super-G during the games. The centre features a total of six runs ranging from novice to expert levels as well as two K-points (the point at which skiers land after taking off).

In addition to these two venues, Pyeongchang will be hosting several other events at different locations across South Korea including Gangneung Ice Arena (ice hockey), Bokwang Phoenix Park (snowboarding) and Gangneung Oval (speed skating).
