Who Owns Coronado Beach Resort?

Coronado Beach Resort is a luxurious beach resort situated on the sunny shores of Coronado Island in San Diego, California. The resort features panoramic views of the San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean, as well as lush gardens, a private beach, and a spa and fitness center.

The resort is renowned for its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and its prime location in one of the most visited vacation spots in America.

The Coronado Beach Resort was originally built by hotelier John D. Spreckels in 1888. Spreckels was a successful businessman who made much of his fortune through shipping and investments.

After purchasing Coronado Island, he built the Coronado Hotel as part of his grand plan to develop the island into a tourist destination. Although Spreckels’ vision was never fully realized before his death in 1926, his legacy lives on today through the Coronado Beach Resort.

In 1969, the resort was purchased by Robert Hensley who transformed it into a first-class destination for visitors from around the world. In addition to adding amenities such as tennis courts and an Olympic-sized swimming pool, Hensley also made major improvements to the interior design and architecture of the hotel. He eventually sold it to Sunstone Hotels & Resorts in 1998.

Today, Coronado Beach Resort is owned by Sunstone Hotels & Resorts which manages over 60 hotels throughout North America including several other properties in San Diego County. Sunstone prides itself on providing guests with exceptional service and memorable experiences at each of their resorts. From luxurious suites to fine dining options to convenient access to nearby attractions, Sunstone strives to make each stay at their properties an unforgettable one.

Conclusion:

Today, Coronado Beach Resort is owned by Sunstone Hotels & Resorts which is committed to providing guests with exceptional service and memorable experiences at each of their resorts located throughout North America.
